A door is opened and one is closed...

It has been an interesting journey through youth ministry here at Family Life Fellowship. When we started youth ministry, we began with visions and directions from other "successful" youth ministries around the world. However, as time has progressed and research has been done, what we have come to understand is that youth ministry in its current form (in most churches) is broken. Broken by admitting to the current state of the majority of youth that are produced in youth ministry.

In the last 30 years, there has been the biggest explosion in youth ministry world-wide. Yet, there has yet to be produced a generation of youth ready to change the world for Christ as mature Christians. When you combine that with the fact that youth ministry has nothing to show for its biggest explosion other than the highest numbers ever of youth dropping out of church by their freshman year in college, you see that something needs fixed.

We believe the answer lies in the family. By "equipping the saints" (Eph. 4:11-12) to fulfill their biblical duty to disciple their youth (Eph. 6:1-4). We are in the process of putting the vision of a family-based youth ministry in place here at Family Life Fellowship.
